Healthy Eating and Menu Plan

Our nursery recognises the importance of Healthy eating, we believe that children should eat a wholesome, balanced diet, this is reflected in the nutritious and balanced meals we provide.
Our menus include fresh fruit, oily fish, meat, poultry and fresh vegetables throughout the day, which contribute to keeping healthy.
Children explore their tastes by eating foods from different cultures, which are included in our menus.

Meals are prepared by our dedicated nursery chef, who is always available to give nutritional advice to our parents and staff team.

Mealtimes are a time when a child’s social skills can be developed and staff sit with the children in small groups to encourage this.
Pre school children are encouraged to help themselves to their own meals and drinks.

  • Mid morning and Mid afternoon snack of Bread stick, Fruit and Vegetables


  • Spaghetti Bolognaise
  • Roast Chicken, served with potatoes and seasonal vegetables
  • Chicken Enchilada served with cous cous
  • Fillet of fish with parsley sauce, mashed potatoes and peas


  • Fruit crumble and custard
  • Fruit yoghurts
  • Creamed rice pudding
  • Bananas and custard


  • Assorted sandwiches
  • Soup with bread roll

  • An assortment of fresh fruit
